Residential Care
at Fullarton

Lutheran Homes Group Fullarton is nestled in a leafy inner-city suburb in the City of Unley, with views to the foothills. We provide quality Residential Care for 195 residents.

We are pleased to provide fully flexible care options, incorporating dementia-specific care in secure, comfortable and home-like surroundings and palliative care.

The care that we offer

Satisfying the individual needs of our residents is first and foremost. These are met by our expert staff of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists and other invited care professionals.

We also offer risk-managed clinical care, to prevent residents from being transferred to hospital unnecessarily – along with the following special support needs.

Memory support for your loved one with dementia

We offer warm, safe and secure areas for our residents requiring memory support, including Beltana – our purpose-built, specialised area.

Residents receive specialised, engaging activities that provide engagement, purpose and meaning.

Palliative Care

The care provided to our residents that have a terminal illness, with no anticipated cure, is called Palliative Care.

This highly specialised support aims to maximise and maintain a resident’s quality of life, and facilitate a comfortable, peaceful and dignified passing.

The treatment we provide is in accordance with the Palliative Care Act and good Palliative Care principles.

We take a team approach to our Palliative Care. Symptom management is coordinated through our registered nurse and doctor. But to ensure the best possible quality of life, it is sometimes necessary that other health professionals become involved. This would be based on individual needs and in consultation with family.

We encourage our palliative residents to remain in their familiar environment, to be cared for by recognised staff and surrounded by family. But their wishes and those of their family will always be followed.

Room Types

Our Fullarton Residential Care rooms have been designed to provide comfort, maintain independence and maximise safety and security.

Spiritual life at Fullarton

Lutheran Homes Group is concerned not only for the physical needs of its residents, but also their spiritual wellbeing. We know how important this becomes, especially as we age.

Spirituality is about a sense of purpose or meaning. It’s also about particular connections in our life, such as with others, creativity, nature, and a sense of something bigger or beyond ourselves. It can also be through faith or a belief system.

For residents seeking religious care and support, St Peter’s Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church of Australia. It’s located at 14 Frew Street, just a short stroll from our Retirement Living Units.

Other optional services at no extra cost include bible studies, private communion, hymn singing, memorial services, Anglican Church Services and Catholic Service in room.
