The care that we offer
Satisfying the individual needs of our residents is first and foremost. These are met by our expert staff of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists and other invited care professionals.
We also offer risk-managed clinical care, to prevent residents from being transferred to hospital unnecessarily.
Memory support for your loved one with dementia
Our memory support areas are designed to provide a warm, safe, and secure environment for individuals with dementia. We have purpose-built, specialised areas that cater to their unique needs and our dedicated team ensures personalised care and attention for each resident.
We understand the importance of creating a supportive and nurturing atmosphere where residents can form connections and find joy in their daily lives, that’s why engaging activities are an integral part of our approach, offering residents a sense of purpose and meaning, as well as social interaction.
Palliative Care
The care provided to our residents that have a terminal illness, with no anticipated cure, is called Palliative Care.
This highly specialised support aims to maximise and maintain a resident’s quality of life, and facilitate a comfortable, peaceful and dignified passing.
The treatment we provide is in accordance with the Palliative Care Act and good Palliative Care principles.
We take a team approach to our Palliative Care. Symptom management is coordinated through our registered nurse and doctor. But to ensure the best possible quality of life, it is sometimes necessary that other health professionals become involved. This would be based on individual needs and in consultation with family.
We encourage our palliative residents to remain in their familiar environment, to be cared for by recognised staff and surrounded by family. But their wishes and those of their family will always be followed.
Room Types
Our Hope Valley Residential Care rooms have been designed to provide comfort, maintain independence and maximise safety and security.
While we offer a range of room types, each has the same high level of comfort and amenities. These include quality fixtures and fittings, electronically adjustable beds with pressure-relieving mattresses, a bedside table, a built-in wardrobe, lockable storage, flat screen TVs, and a visitor’s chair. The television connection has an optional telecast of Wednesday and Sunday worship services to your room.

Spiritual life at Hope Valley
Lutheran Homes Group is concerned not only for the physical needs of its residents, but also their spiritual wellbeing. We know how important this becomes, especially as we age.
Spirituality is about a sense of purpose or meaning. It’s also about particular connections in our life, such as with others, creativity, nature, and a sense of something bigger or beyond ourselves. It can also be through faith or a belief system.
For residents seeking religious care and support, the Hope Valley Trinity Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church of Australia and is located in our retirement village.
There is an optional telecast of services to residents’ rooms and pastors are also available to minister to residents on an individual basis and provide spiritual support and counselling.
